St. Verena’s Coptic Charity (also known as St. Verena's Service; referred to as "we," "us," "our," or the "Organization") operates the website www.stverenas.com (the "Site"). These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Site, including any content, features, donations, or services offered through it.

By accessing, browsing, or using the Site—or by making a donation—you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted here with a revised "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

1. Use of the Site

The Site is provided for informational and charitable purposes only: to share the legacy of Saint Verena, describe our mission of serving the homeless, hungry, and vulnerable through food, clothing, hygiene support, and community outreach, and facilitate donations and involvement.

You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of others or restrict/interfere with the Site's use by anyone else. Prohibited activities include (but are not limited to):

  • Using the Site for commercial purposes unrelated to our mission

We reserve the right to terminate or restrict access to the Site at any time, for any reason, without notice.

All content on the Site—including text, stories about Saint Verena, mission statements, images, icons, graphics, and logos—is owned by St. Verena’s Coptic Charity or used with permission and protected by U.S. copyright, trademark, and other laws.

You may view, download, or print content for personal, non-commercial use only (e.g., reading about Saint Verena or sharing our mission with friends), provided you retain all copyright and proprietary notices. Any other use (republication, modification, distribution, or commercial exploitation) requires our prior written permission.

Third-party content (e.g., linked resources or embedded donation buttons) remains the property of its owners.

3. Donations and Payments

Donations are voluntary and support our charitable work. We are a nonprofit organization; tax-deductibility depends on your jurisdiction and our status (consult a tax advisor; we provide receipts where applicable).

  • Donations are processed through third-party providers (e.g., PayPal, Venmo, Cash App). We do not store full payment details.

  • By donating, you agree to the terms of the chosen processor and confirm the donation is irrevocable (except as required by law or processor policy).

  • We reserve the right to refuse or return donations if they appear fraudulent or inconsistent with our mission.

  • All donations are final; no refunds unless required by law.

We do not guarantee that donations will be used for any specific purpose unless explicitly designated and accepted by us.

4. Links to Third-Party Sites

The Site contains links to external sites (e.g., PayPal donation page, Instagram, church resources). These are provided for convenience only. We do not endorse, control, or assume responsibility for their content, privacy practices, or availability. Use them at your own risk.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, St. Verena’s Coptic Charity, its volunteers, affiliates, and partners shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Site, donations, or reliance on any content—even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

This includes (without limitation) loss of data, profits, goodwill, or personal injury.

8. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Durham or Wake County, North Carolina.

9. Miscellaneous

  • If any provision is found invalid, the remainder remains in effect.

  • No waiver of any term constitutes a continuing waiver.

  • These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Site.
