Accessibility Statement
A website for everyone.
Last updated February 10, 2026.
St. Verena's Service wants everyone, including people with disabilities, to be able to use this website. This reflects our mission of serving people in need. The site is designed to work with screen readers, magnifiers, voice recognition, and keyboard-only navigation.
Goals and standards
We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA, the international guidelines from the W3C. We provide text alternatives for images, keyboard navigation, a skip link, responsive layouts, readable contrast, and support for reduced motion. We continue to use clear headings and links, plain language, and testing with assistive technology.
Conformance status
We aim for conformance with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Some third-party elements, such as the PayPal donation page and external links, are outside our control, and we monitor them. Your feedback helps us set priorities.
Feedback and contact
Tell us about any barrier, suggest an improvement, or ask for content in another format such as larger text or simplified language. We aim to reply within 5 to 10 business days. Email Volunteer@stverenas.com, call 919-537-1249, or use the Contact page.
Ongoing efforts
Accessibility is a continuing process. We review content regularly, train volunteers on the basics, and plan regular manual and automated checks.
