Terms & Conditions

The terms for using this website.

Last updated February 10, 2026.

These terms govern your use of stverenas.com, operated by St. Verena's Service, including donations. By using the site or donating, you accept them. We may update the terms, and continued use counts as acceptance.

1. Use of the site

The site shares the legacy of St. Verena, describes our work with homeless, hungry, and vulnerable people, and lets you donate and volunteer. Use it lawfully. Do not spread malware, harass or impersonate others, scrape content without permission, or use the site commercially for unrelated purposes. We may restrict access at any time.

2. Intellectual property

Site content belongs to us or is used with permission and is protected by U.S. law. You may view, download, and print it for personal, non-commercial use if copyright notices stay intact. Other uses need our written permission. Third-party content remains the property of its owners.

3. Donations and payments

Donations are voluntary and handled by third-party processors such as PayPal. We do not store full payment details. Donations are generally final and non-refundable except where the law or processor policy requires. We may refuse suspicious donations or those inconsistent with our mission, and we do not guarantee a specific use unless one was designated and accepted. Tax deductibility depends on your jurisdiction.

4. Third-party links

External links are for convenience. We do not endorse or control them and are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.

5. Disclaimers

The site and its content are provided as is, without warranties. Information is general and not professional medical, legal, or other advice, and we are not liable for errors or omissions.

6. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, St. Verena's Service and its volunteers, affiliates, and partners are not liable for damages from use of the site, donations, or reliance on content.

7. Indemnification

You agree to cover our losses, costs, and attorneys' fees arising from your violation of these terms, misuse of the site, or infringement of others' rights.

8. Governing law

North Carolina law governs these terms. Disputes go exclusively to the state or federal courts in Durham or Wake County, North Carolina.

9. General

If a provision is invalid, the rest stays in effect. Not enforcing a term is not a permanent waiver. These terms are the complete agreement about the site.
